He is also a known liar.
Not only did he lie about his story A Million Little Pieces, he ripped off the other part of the pseudonym for Pittacus Lore; Jobie Hughes when The Power of Six was still in drafts.
In better detail here at Snuggly Oranges blog, is all the reasons why I absolutely refuse to have anything to do with anymore of his books. The only reason I will maybe keep reading the Dorothy Must Die trilogy is because of Danielle Paige. I really like her writing style from what I have seen. I really hope she is able to venture off to another publisher that will appreciate her.
Anyone with a need for a cute book with, a serious undertone, confusing relationships and family love.

Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble. That it’s been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply — but that almost seems beside the point now.

She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her — Neal is always a little upset with Georgie — but she doesn’t expect to him to pack up the kids and go home without her.
When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything.

That's the problem. She knows she has her priorties kind of messed up, but she is about to hit the deal of a life time. Leaving the show she started with, and writing for her, her best friend's, and a fellow friend writers new show! Just as she strikes the deal, its close to Christmas, meaning they are leaving for Neal's (husbands) parents house for the holiday like they do every year.
That doesn't happen this year. With an arguement left in the wind of Neal and the girls departure, she is left with Seth (Seth) to close the deal and have their example ready. One reason or another she ends up staying at her mothers, and pulls out her old phone from when her Neil started dating when she lived there, and that is where the story takes flight.
I really loved all the voices in this book. It actually made me once more comfortable with adult fiction. Adult Fic and I have been on a stand off for a couple years, but with Ms. Rowell's unique voice and pacing, it makes me think that maybe I should try again.
I loved how she, even though she was a hard working momma, still tried to be active in her childrens life, yet we saw the struggles of not being able to commit completely. From what I have seen from friends of mine that work and have kids, it's like having two full time jobs, but not being able to figure out which is more important at the present moment.
The interactions between her and 'Past' Neil are amazing. So much love and depth that even trancends the years from past to present. Every time I read something from their past, or just her talking to him on the phone reminded me of my fiance and I. The only difference is that I connected with them moreso in the 'past' and on the phone then their present tense.
The only thing I could find that I did not like was her relationship with Seth, but for personal reasons. He is a very well made character, but it didn't make me dislike him less. To me personally, he was too demanding, pushy and just a plain old snot bucket. I did not like a thing about him. If it was me, I either would have pushed him away a long time ago, or cold clocked him by then. Let me note that I am not a violent person either.
Over all, an amazing read that I see myself re-reading around Christmas. Ms. Rowell knows how to really transend genres and just spread the love, hatred, and pure raw emotions everywhere she goes with writing.
Anyone looking for a glimpse into something they may or may not be familiar with. Someone who may be dealing with similar problems. Or just over all anyone. Not quite for anyone under the age of 17, and 17 is pushing it a bit unless they are children with parents in a similar boat.

Series: Supposed to be the first in a 7 book (plus a lot of novellas) series.
Age Range: I would say 14+ due to slightly graphic violent scenes.
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, High Fantasy
Would I recommend it to anyone: Yes, to anyone who likes high fantasy, good fight scenes and a long journey.

Review:
Let me just say this. HOLY SCHNIKEY. This book seriously got me back into fantasy indefinitely. believe I just randomly jumping from Genre to Genre and needed something, different. Something that would make me jump. And boy howdy did it. At first glace I thought that the protaginist was going to be a snobbish snot who /thought/ she was the best... oh was I wrong. Celaena Sardothien is someone can see little girls looking up too. Someone who isn't afraid to be herself. Without getting all spoilery, I can honestly say this is a series that I plan on seeing to the finish. :)

Review:
Soooo. I picked this book up, put it down. Up, down, up, down.. for months. I just kept getting distacted and picking up other books. It's wasn't it's fault. I have ADD. This happens sometimes. Or, it would be too intense for what I needed at that moment. But, recently I picked it back up and wiped it out in a matter of days.
I absolutely loved the world building. I actually felt like I was sucked deep into the world, when Tris was first in Abnegation, training in Dauntless and so on, I wanted to take on the enemy by her side.
This book truly is worth the hype it has. The emotions, the adrenline rush that I had with almost every chapter..! I never wanted it to end!
In the end I had to give it a 4.5 out of 5 though. It was brillant, but something... something felt missing. Maybe Insurgent will be different. :)

Review:
Holy moley. This book is amazing! I went into this book completely blind and let me tell you... it was worth it. I can't think of a better start to my love of Mr. Sanderson.
Now, don't get me wrong! I have wanted to start his books before, but nothing really caught my eye as much as Steelheart. I wanted to read Mistborn, I wanted to dive into The Rithmatist , I even wanted to jump into his Stormlight Archives. But... I just didn't. I don't know. I have no excuse. I just didn't.
But now I crave it. His writing is something that can not be mimicked. It cannot be faked.
Now, as for Steelheart? Very very fast-paced, amazing in depth characters, lovely world building and just... wow. I would have to say I would recommend it for older teens though due to the graphic nature of some passages and characters. Other than that, stunning.
I found myself just losing hours with this book. Forgetting I had things to do, places to be and words to say. It can consume you, and I don't want to go into too much detail, but from the prologue itself... I was caught like a fish on a hook.
I give it the rating I do, merely because toward the end some of it was predictable, but the reason it's a .8 is the ending itself saved it from being a .5
Highly reccomended.

Okay. OKAY. LET ME SAY THAT HOLY MONKEYS EATING CORN MUFFINS I LOVE THIS BOOK.
I am going to be spoiler free, but GOOD GOD. The characters are deep, the writing is like beautiful art and just... /Morpheus/.
The way that it all falls together is like paint on a canvas, so delicately placed... so vivid and pulling. I found it so hard to put down this book at ANY point. And I have ADHD.
Even while reading another book, THIS was always on my mind. I found myself needing it more and more. Now, I am waiting for the first to get the Novella. BECAUSE I NEED IT. I own Unhinged, and I plan on buying Ensnared.
The author herself is even a grand example of someone who, even if I didn't end up becoming friends with; would be on my BUY IMMEDIATLEY list. One of my top authors.
Her world is like a fine wine, to be savored and enjoyed.
And I, would love to live in her dark wonderland.

Would I recommend it to anyone?: Yes. A million times yes.

Review:
This is a classic. Something I read a long time ago, but one of my absolute favorite reads.
The story follows Lennie and George.
Lennie is a lovable, but slow oaf who is always getting in trouble just trying to be himself.
George is a short, and even short tempered man who protects Lennie from life and others.
The story follows them both from being chased out of the first town, to their new adventure, new job and new troubles!
There they meet Candy and his dog, who both are a precursor to the whole story. Candy is an aged man, who still works his hardest despite only having one hand, and his only love in life is his dog. Old, smelly and just wanting to make his master smile.
Then there is Curly and his wife. A protective and jealous man, even shorter tempered than George, with a wife who in every sense of a tart, Always angering him my flirting with the farm hands.
The book shows the beauty of a strong male bond, companionship and what we are willing to do for our friends. What we will do when given the choice of hard or harder. Pain or true suffering. What is to be gently touched, and what we should avoid. Temptations hard and searing.
This book, at its core is something I am glad I read growing up. It taught me there isn't always rainbow and sunshine, there sometimes isn't a happy ending, but a needed ending. Something to grow on.
Lennie and George will always have a place in my heart, and I promise not to pet the puppies to hard on my road of life. :)
